Two weeks ago now my wonderful friend Casie took 500 hats to the University of Iowa's Pediatric Oncology Center. She brought them these six bags full of hats that you all helped make.
Each hat from someone who has never met Casie, never hugged her three adorable boys, never watched Eli as he navigates life with just one eye.
Each hat made with love for a child who is fighting the scariest battle, a battle no child should have to fight.
I wanted to share this photo, of Casie (in the middle) with some of the amazing folks who work at the university hospital, as a way to say thank you.
Thank you for joining me as I make hats and give them away.
Thank you for the boxes of hats that just keep showing up, from cities all across the country, for people you will never know.
Thank you for believing in this mission of mine, this belief that we can truly make the world a better place, one hat at a time.
